casting

well this week i had my first shot at cuttlefish casting......sound horrid i know......but it was really good apart from the smell of fish. basically its the same part of the cuttlefish that you would give a bird :) but apparently its been used in casting for hundreds of years. i really liked this casting method as it was a very instant proses.....it was done in a matter of hours from carving the cuttlefish to casting the metal. i will put some pics of my work up but basically im doing a kitch button medal......in my head im designing it for someone like nicki minaj, something outrageous and mental like her style. only problem is its gonna be in bronze but its not the end of the world. the actual casting will be done by the tutors because of health and safety lol. but never mind itl be fun to watch........
